RCIA FOR ADULTS
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the process for initiating new members into the Catholic Church by nurturing their conversion in the Christian way of life and belief. The RCIA intends for the instruction to be more than classroom learning of Catholic dogma. RCIA includes teaching which consists of examination of the Church’s creed, engagement in the life of the whole Christian community, participation in the Catholic community’s prayer and liturgical life, and active involvement in the community’s apostolic life. Those who want to find out more about the Catholic faith meet every Tuesday evening from 6:00pm-7:00pm in the Conference room of the Cathedral offices, located on the northwest corner of the church. Those participants deciding to join the Catholic faith will be received into the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil. At no time, during the process, are you "expected" to join the church but know that you are welcome at Sacred Heart Cathedral regardless.
Please call the office or refer to the parish bulletin for more information.
