The mission of the Sacred Heart Cathedral Religious Education Program is to educate the youth of our parish in the teachings and ways of the Catholic Faith. The religious education program offers the students the opportunity to not only learn about their Catholic faith but to also develop their relationship with God the Father, Jesus His Son and the Holy Spirit as they continue their journey of lifelong learning in the Catholic faith.
Sacred Heart Cathedral offers religious education classes for 1st through 9th grades in both English and Spanish. These programs include the sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation.
The English religious education classes for 1st through 6th grades are held from 6:15 pm until 7:30 pm on Wednesday evenings and for 7th, 8th and 9th grades from 6:00 pm until 7:15pm on Sunday evenings. All English classes are held at the Sacred Heart Grade School building 406 W. Iron Ave.
Spanish Religious Education classes are held on Wednesdays from 5:45 pm to 7:00 pm . This includes elementary through Confirmation classes. All of the classes meet in the Sacred Heart Junior High buildings located at 410 W. Iron Ave.
